SOS was founded by Dr. Jennifer Mancio Silva, an internationally certified expert in cardiology and cardiovascular imaging. Her dedication to reducing healthcare inequality drives her focus on developing tech-based, low-cost imaging solutions and fostering global connections among colleagues and patients.
Together with her peers, she recognized a shared commitment to being supportive colleagues and delivering the best possible care to patients, regardless of location.
Our goal is to provide expert consultation for interpretation of cardiovascular
imaging studies no matter where you are.
We are here to assist you with challenging and rare cases, as well as with solving the daily imaging issues that we all encounter in our practice. Our aim is to ensure that you have the support you need throughout your reporting journey.
We can also advise you on conducting successfully a research project and provide you with online or onsite training on CMR.
Jennifer Mancio is a Cardiologist from Portugal with over 14 years of experience. She has worked in some of London’s most prestigious cardiovascular centers, becoming a fully accredited Imaging Cardiologist. In addition to her clinical work, she is a Scientist, having earned a PhD in Epicardial Adipose Tissue ("Cardiac Fat").
She served as a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and Harvard Medical School. Jennifer is dedicated to reducing healthcare inequality, focusing her research on using AI to develop simple, safe, and low-cost imaging solutions, and fostering connections among colleagues and patients worldwide.
